INU INU Ramen: A Cozy Slurp-Worthy Spot in Virginia Beach

If you’re in Virginia Beach and craving something a little different from the usual burger and fries routine, Inu Inu might be just what your taste buds need. Whether you’re a certified ramen lover or a curious newbie (like me), this new noodle spot has something for everyone.

📍 4224 Virginia Beach Blvd, Suite 101, Virginia Beach, VA

Okay, full transparency: I’m not a ramen fan. Never really got the hype. But y’all—Inu Inu made me a believer. The customer service? Super friendly. The wait? Minimal. The space is on the tighter side, so don’t be surprised if you get cozy with your neighbors—but once the food hits the table, you’ll forget about that real quick.

Here’s what we tried:

🍵 Brown Sugar & Taro Milk Tea – Boba lovers, you already know we had to start here. If your sweet tooth is anything like my sister’s, you might wish it was a bit sweeter, but the pearls were perfectly cooked—no weird crunch or jaw workout needed.

🦑 Kara-Age Calamari – Lightly fried in traditional Japanese tempura, this was a crisp, flavorful start to the night. Not too salty, not too chewy—just right. It’s shareable for 2–3 people and a fun little appetizer before diving into your bowl.

🍜 Tokyo Shoyu Ramen – This one comes with a savory chicken bone broth and tender roasted pork. The soy sauce base adds just enough richness without overwhelming your palate. If you’re watching your salt intake, you’ll appreciate how balanced this one is.

🍜 Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen – If you’re new to the ramen world or just indecisive, start here. This Berkshire pork broth is comfort food vibes all the way—rich, hearty, and satisfying. It reminded me of a cozy bowl of chicken noodle soup with a flavorful twist. Heads-up: it’s mushroom-heavy, so if fungi aren’t your thing, be sure to request a bowl without them.

Quick Notes:

  • Inu Inu is still in its soft opening phase, so the menu is limited—but solid.

  • Food came out in under 15 minutes.

  • And yes, I did ask for a fork—no shame here.

Final Thoughts: Even if ramen isn’t your go-to (trust me, I get it), Inu Inu is worth the visit. It’s local, flavorful, and brings a cozy slice of Japanese comfort food right to the Boulevard.

Happy slurping!
